Bethany Green

Bethany Green began her training in her hometown of South Bend, IN at the Southold Dance Theater, where she trained under several directors including Kimmary Williams, Patrick Rice, Anna Reznik, Alexei Kremnev, and Erica Fischbach. Southold Dance Theater gave her the opportunity to work with many guest dancers and coaches, and she performed in a number of original works and full-length classics under their coaching. Her training was augmented by attending summer intensive programs with American Ballet Theater, Oklahoma City Ballet, Ballet Chicago, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. Bethany graduated summa cum laude from Indiana University with a B.S. in Ballet Performance and Arts Management. At IU’s Ballet Theater, she performed works by George Balanchine, Twyla Tharp, Antony Tudor, Martha Graham, David Parsons, Merce Cunningham, Paul Taylor, and Peter Martins. She grew under the guidance of her most cherished coach, ballet’s legendary Violette Verdy. Her first professional experience was with Oklahoma City Ballet as an apprentice under the direction of Robert Mills and then she joined City Ballet of San Diego as an apprentice in 2017. Bethany has performed in the company’s productions of The Nutcracker, Serenade, The Firebird, Giselle, Carmina Burana, Swan Lake, Tchai Celebration, Mozart Concerto, Requiem, The Four Temperaments, Apollo, and Four Pair. The 2019-20 season is Bethany’s first season as a full company member
