How to Volunteer

1. Join Allegro

The best and easiest way to volunteer at City Ballet!  City Ballet rewards Allegro members with special benefits, including discount tickets for Allegro events and preferential seating at City Ballet performances.

Volunteer of the Year for 2004

Dale Stokes

Dale Stokes received the prestigious San Diego Performing Arts League Star Award on June 1, 2004.  Dale is best known for his striking City Ballet photographs.  Many of the photographs seen in City Ballet advertisements, in our Sur la Pointe newsletter and on our web site are taken by Dale.  Dale brings together an understanding of ballet and state-of-the-art photography to produce absolutely gorgeous photographs that have graced our publications for the past three years.  He has never made us look so good!

But Dale's talents don't end with photography.  He can lay a dance floor faster and better than any techie we've seen.  Dale's creative skills also include scenery construction and prop making.  We don't know how his education as a Research Scientist in Oceanography prepared him for all his talents he volunteers to City Ballet, but we are very grateful.
