Tara Formanek

City Ballet Dance Artists

Tara Formanek, a native of Phoenix Arizona, trained under Kee Juan Han and Sibylle Acatos at the School of Ballet Arizona.  After six years of training in Arizona, Tara went on to become a trainee at Ballet Austin under the tutelage of Michelle Martin and Stephen Mills.  Tara augmented her training by attending summer programs at Boston Ballet, The Rock School of Pennsylvania, and Ballet Austin.

Since joining City Ballet as an apprentice two years ago, Tara has danced roles in Elizabeth Wistrich's The Chosen and Balanchine's Stars and Stripes.  This year marks Tara's first season as a company member.
