Shannon Stobbe

City Ballet Dance Artist

Shannon Stobbe, originally from Michigan, trained at Michigan Ballet Theatre under the direction of Cornelia Sampson.  While in high school, Shannon augmented her dance education by attending summer intensives at Boston Ballet and Joffrey New York.  She earned a BSOF from Indiana University, where she had the privilege of working with Violette Verdy and Julie Kent, among others.  At IU, Shannon performed in George Balanchine's Walpurgisnacht, Jacques Cesbron's The Nutcracker, and John Clifford's Rite of Spring.  Upon graduating from IU, Shannon joined City Ballet as an apprentice and has performed in the company's productions the last two seasons, including Balanchine's Serenade and Divertimento No.15 and featured in Elizabeth Wistrich's Raymonda.  This is Shannon's first season as a company member.
