Nolan Seda, originally from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, began his studies with Luz Enid Soto Paz at the age of fourteen. After finishing his studies with the National Ballet of Cuba, Mr. Seda was promoted to principal dancer in 2005 performing such ballets as Romeo and Juliet, Coppelia, Don Quixote, Dracula, and Le Corsaire. In 2007 Fernando Alonso Ballet Master in Cuba privately coached Mr. Seda for the lead roll of Albrecht in Giselle. Mr. Seda has been a guest performer with many companies including the National Ballet of Puerto Rico, Harrisburg Dance Conservatory and New York Theatre Ballet. As a free lance artist, he has worked with Stamford Ballet School, Petrov Ballet School New Jersey Ballet, New York Conservatory of Dance and New England Dance Theater.
In early 2009, Mr. Seda accepted a position as the Assistant to the Director at the University of Hartford in Connecticut and worked as a resident guest artist while holding that position. Mr. Seda received a full scholarship for the ballet master classes in Prague 2010 with Daria Klimentova Prima Ballerina of the English National Ballet. Mr. Seda's choreographic works includes Misty Shower on a Full Moon Hallelujah from Messiah and Anastasia Ballet. This is Mr. Seda's first season with City Ballet of San Diego. |
