Elizabeth Piper has now become a company member after spending two years as an apprentice. While at City Ballet, she has performed in Elizabeth Wistrich's Carmen, Swan Lake, Giselle, The Nutcracker and Bruce Steivel's Peter Pan. She has also performed George Balanchine's Walpurgisnacht Ballet, Serenade and Valse Fantasie.
Most of her training was received at The School of Oregon Ballet Theatre, under the direction of Damara Bennett, where Elizabeth danced on scholarship. She has also performed Lew Christensen's Il Distratto, Christopher Stowell's Peter and the Wolf, Bruce Wells' Snow White and George Balanchine's The Nutcracker. In addition to performing, Elizabeth enjoys choreographing and some of her works have been performed by City Ballet in its contemporary outreach programs. |
