Emily Pardington, from Canton, MI, began her dance training at the age of 10 at Bunny Sanfords School of Dance. She has been to numerous summer intensives including Hope College Dance Program, Joffrey Ballet, National Ballet School of Canada, Ballet Chicago, American Ballet Theatre, The Rock School of Pennsylvania Ballet, as well as City Ballet of San Diego's Summer Intensive. At the age of 12, she was asked to dance at the University of Michigan's dance program. After two years dancing under Judy Rice at U of M, she was accepted to attend the year-round boarding school/dance program at The Rock School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. At sixteen, she was then accepted to City Ballet of San Diego as an apprentice. After two years as an apprentice, this is Emily's first year as a company member. |
