Brook Ogle was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and began her serious training with the Briarwood Ballet. She also studied with Dame Sonia Arova at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and trained privately with Pamela Merkel-Sayle. She graduated with honors from Butler University with a BFA in Dance Performance, dancing soloist and principal roles with Butler Ballet. Brook has danced professionally with Nashville Ballet, Charleston Ballet Theatre, Hosanna Sacred Arts, and as a guest artist with Ballet Internationale.
Since joining City Ballet of San Diego in 2008, first as an apprentice and now as a company member, Brook has danced the roles of Myrtha in Giselle, Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, and has appeared in the company's productions of The Nutcracker, The Seasons, Tchaikovsky Spectacular, Carmen and George Balanchine's Serenade, The Four Temperaments, Rubies and Walpurgisnacht Ballet. In addition to dancing with the company, Brook is a teacher in the City Ballet School. |
