John Nettles is a native San Diegan and has been part of the local arts scene for over 20 years. John holds degrees in musical theatre and music education and has performed as a professional singer/dancer/actor, as well as a musician/conductor in musical theatre, ballet and opera. Mr. Nettles has been an award-winning music educator and served on the board of the California Music Educators Association as Vice President and Festival Coordinator.
In addition to conducting the City Ballet Orchestra, he is also a teaching artist for City Ballet. John owns and operates A Class Act Productions, which provides musical entertainment for events of all sizes. This company also produces an orchestra concert series, which features both classical works and fully staged original musical reviews. |
