Kyla Myers, originally from Georgetown, California began her early training with Tia Stewart.  Later on she trained with the Sacramento Ballet School as well as with her primary mentor Janelle Sebren.  Kyla attended summer programs with the Sacramento Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, ABT, and City Ballet of San Diego.  After high school, she danced professionally with the Sacramento Ballet for two seasons.  There, she danced in numerous ballets such as The Sleeping Beauty, George Balanchine's Western Symphony, Serenade, and Ron Cunningham's The Nutcracker and the world premiere of A Woman's Journey: The Tamsen Donner Story.

In 2008, Kyla joined City Ballet first as an apprentice and now as a company member.  With City Ballet she has performed in George Balanchine's Serenade, La Source, Third Theme in The Four Temperaments, Rubies, Valse Fantaisie, Walpurgisnacht Ballet, Bruce Steivel's Peter Pan, Elizabeth Wistrich's Giselle, Ramona, Tchaikovsky Spectacular, Carmen and Snow Princess with her twin sister in The Nutcracker.
