Yasuyo Morimoto came to City Ballet after a season with Connecticut Ballet as a Soloist. Yasuyo received her training at the Koike Ballet Studio in Hiroshima, Japan and the Academie de Danse Classique Princess Grace in Monaco. In the United States, she was trained by Nancy Raffa of the Miami City Ballet School and by Rebecca Wright at the Washington School of Ballet on full scholarship where she then became a trainee at the Washington Ballet. Now in her second season with City Ballet, Yasuyo has performed in the company productions of The Nutcracker, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Ramona, The Seasons and George Balanchine's Serenade, La Source and The Four Temperaments. |
