Julie Avanzino

City Ballet Dance Artist

Julie Avanzino of Mountain View, California, received her early training from Karen Millar and Kristine Elliott and also trained at the school of Ballet San Jose of Silicon Valley.  She later joined the Graduate Program at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.  She also attended multiple summer programs with American Ballet Theatre and Boston Ballet.  After dancing with the Colorado Ballet for one season, she joined City Ballet as an apprentice where she has performed in Carmen, Swan Lake, The Seasons and Balanchine's Agon, Serenade, Divertimento No. 15 and Rubies.  After two seasons as an apprentice, this is Julie's first season as a full company member with City Ballet.
