Stephano Candreva received his yearly training at the Studio de Danca Com-Passos in Brazil. Nine years later, Mr. Candreva graduated from Alice Arja School of Dance in Rio de Janeiro. He began his professional career at the age of eighteen dancing with Teatro Sesiminos. Later, he went on to dance with Cisne Negro. Mr. Candreva attended summer programs at Miami City Ballet and Milwaukee Ballet.
At the age of twenty, Mr. Candreva joined the Milwaukee Ballet II program where he performed principal roles in Coppelia, Le Corsaire, La Fille Mal Gardee, Graduation Ball and George Balanchine's Who Cares? and Tarantella. Since joining City Ballet last season, Stephano performed leading roles in George Balanchine's Who Cares? and Donizetti Variations, the Cavalier in The Nutcracker and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet. |
