Erica Alvarado began her ballet training in Tucson, Arizona at Ballet Arts under the direction of Mary Beth Cabana. After eight years of training at Ballet Arts School, Ms. Alvarado joined the professional company Ballet Tucson. Erica augmented her ballet training by attending summer programs at The Jillana School, The Rock School, San Francisco Ballet and American Ballet Theatre.
During her two seasons with Ballet Tucson, she performed roles such as the Snow Queen in The Nutcracker, Spring Fairy in Cinderella, and in Antony Tudor's Little Improvisations. Two years later, Ms. Alvarado joined the Milwaukee Ballet II program where she danced lead roles in Don Quixote, Satanella Carnival of Venice, Diana and Acteon, Nacho Duato's Without Words and Salvatore Aiello's Clowns and Others. This is Erica's first season with City Ballet of San Diego. |
